During a visit to our Tibetan weekend school, Gangjong Rigzod School, NOS reporter Roel Pauw showed a strong interest in engaging with the Tibetan community in the Netherlands to discuss the importance of preserving Tibetan language and culture within the diaspora.

He emphasized that: “Now that China, according to a recent report by Human Rights Watch, is seeking to restrict the use of the Tibetan language in kindergartens, Tibetan language education in countries such as the Netherlands is more important than ever.”

We also spoke about our strong wish to establish a Tibetan cultural center of our own.
